Tips for Maintaining Your Vehicle Wraps

  • Spot Cleaning – When you notice a spot on your vehicle, you can spot clean it with isopropyl alcohol or Simple Green. After you have spot cleaned it, be sure to rinse it with cool water. Do not do this when the car it hot.
  • Full Wash – We recommend that you discontinue using commercial car washes. Instead, hand wash your vehicle with a microfiber mitt and dry it with a microfiber towel. Only high-end cleaning products should be used. Only wash your vehicle as needed.
  • Pressure Washing – Yes, you can pressure wash vehicle wraps, but you have to do so with care. Do not go above 2,000 psi and use a spray nozzle that will allow for a 40-degree wide spray pattern. The water temperature needs to be below 140 degrees Fahrenheit. You should never spray within 12 inches of the vehicle wrap edges.
  • Fuel Spills – If you accidentally drip or spill fuel/gas on your vehicle’s wrap, immediately wipe it off. After you wipe the fuel/gas off, you will want to wash the affected area immediately. Even just using a wet paper towel from the gas station is better than nothing. Then once you get home, you can properly spot clean the area. Allowing the spill to remain on your vehicle wrap will damage the wrap.
